Brief Description of the functions of the department:
The main function of Council is to collect various taxes and fees as prescribed under the Municipal Act and byelaws from the public and provide basic amenities e.g. Street Light, Roads, Drains, Pavements, Sanitation, Fire Service and Supplying of water supply and maintenance of sewerage system in town.
